This year marks 200 years of Hope Mill! Built in 1824 Hope Mill was one of the earliest developments in industrial Ancoats and operated as a Fustian Weaving and Cotton Spinning Mill. Once the beating heart of the industrial community, 200 years later, Hope Mill Theatre the beating creative heart of the community will host a special Family Fun Day and Makers Market.

200 YEARS AGO HOPE MILL WAS ALIVE AND BUSTLING, FULL OF MILL WORKERS SPINNING SOME OF THE FINEST COTTON IN THE WORLD.

TO CELEBRATE 200 YEARS OF THIS ICONIC MANCHESTER BUILDING WE WILL HAVE SOME OF MANCHESTER’S BEST MAKERS, FROM ARTWORK TO ARTISAN AND FROM BAKED GOODS TO PET TREATS, THIS IS A MAKERS MARKET NOT TO BE MISSED!

BBQ and Drink available – come and grab a burger and some Manchester made beer or some Ancoats Gin!
