Opera: La Bohème

This fully staged production by acclaimed City of Manchester Opera is the classic masterpiece La Bohème (1896). The sublime music of Puccini, featuring some of his best-known arias, plays out in a love story between a poor poet and an equally poor seamstress in Paris, which inspired the hit movie Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor (2001) and the Broadway musical and film Rent (1996/2005).

The performance features the award-winning City of Manchester Opera soloists and chorus, accompanied by a full orchestra, conducted by Spanish maestro Juan Ortuño.

Sung in Italian, with English surtitles.
