Nothing But the Roof – POWERHOUSE PLAYS

“Anthem? Legend? Ghost? Or thief?
Which one of these, will you be?”

NOTHING BUT THE ROOF is a comedy drama about three friends in 2016, who find
themselves in the same place at the same time. That place being, the rooftop of a block of
flats.

Although NOTHING BUT THE ROOF deals with issues of grief, debt, unemployment and the
uncertainties of life. At its core, beats a heart, which is in essence, a story about friendship.

NOTHING BUT THE ROOF first premiered at POYNTON PLAYERS THEATRE in Stockport, during March 2017, for a three-night run. Then a one-off performance in Sutton Macclesfield, at the end of October.

“Awesome in both script and direction. If you get the chance, go see this production. Very
strong cast. It deserves to go further than local…”

“Saw NBTR in Macclesfield. It was superb. You really felt you were living the emotions with
each character. Really well acted. Great job.”

“Fantastic, funny, poignant and well written play. A really enjoyable night out. Highly
recommended.”

“One of the best plays I saw this year. Great writing and strong acting full of emotion,
comedy and issues.”

“This is an exceptional play…both funny and thought provoking. A must see!”

NOTHING BUT THE ROOF is the first play written and directed by Adam Colclough, starring JP Smith – David Hyde & Pete Thompson.
