Heritage Tours

4th October 2024

This year marks Hope Mill’s 200th Birthday and earlier this year we were successful in obtaining National Lottery Heritage Funding.Using money raised by National Lottery players, the National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage. Hope Mill’s Big Birthday is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to uncover and explore the history and heritage of Hope Mill, its people and local communities.

Ever wanted to peek behind the velvet curtain at Hope Mill? Now you can!

We’re teaming up with AWOL Studios for our annual open evening, where you’ll be able to take a free, behind the scenes tour that focuses on the heritage of our Grade II listed building.

There will also be a pop-up exhibition that showcases the findings of our ongoing research into the history of Hope Mill and the surrounding area. Plus, the theatre bar will be open for refreshments.

Book your free ticket now, using the link above.

The tours and our ongoing research project have been made possible by generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

AWOL Studios is one of the largest creative studios in the North West, and they will be open all day for you to look around. It’s free and there’s no need to book. Find out more about AWOL Studios here.
